This scheme is being organised by The Good Thinking Society (GTS), registered office: Morley House, 36 Acreman Street, Sherborne, Dorset, DT9 3NX.
The award is open to both individuals and organisations. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and currently reside in the United Kingdom. Applicants must not be an employee, officer or agent, of the GTS or any person or organisation involved in the running of the scheme, and must not be a family relation of any such person.
GTS reserves the right to cancel or amend the scheme, and these terms and conditions, without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of our control. Any changes to the scheme will be posted on the scheme website and, if applicable, sent to applicants, as soon as possible.
Entry into the scheme will be deemed as acceptance of all of these terms and conditions.
The scheme shall open for entries at the time and date specified on the scheme website, and shall close to entries at the time and date specified on that website. These times and dates are set to those for GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). Any applications received before the opening or after the closing of the competition will be invalid and will not be entered into the scheme. No responsibility can be accepted for applications not received for whatever reason.
The GTS is not responsible for inaccurate details supplied to any applicant by any third party connected with this scheme.
The amount of each award shall be as specified on the scheme website.
Winners will be chosen by a panel of judges appointed by the GTS, and on the basis of those criteria specified on our website.
If an applicant does not meet the eligibility requirements or is subject to any entry restrictions, that applicant shall not be entitled to be adjudged a winner, and will not be entitled to an award in any circumstances.
The winners will be notified by email within 28 days of the closing date. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winner for 14 days but if the winner fails to respond to our notification attempts within this time or fails to meet any of the eligibility requirements or is otherwise unable to comply with these terms and conditions, we reserve the right to disqualify that applicant and offer the award to the next eligible applicant and thereafter until a winner is found.
It is hoped that applicants will spend the funds within 12 months of receiving the award, and produce a short report (typically one side of A4) about how the funds were used.
The GTS’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the scheme will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The scheme and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
Any personal data relating to the applicants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the applicant’s prior consent.
Applicants warrant to us that they created their entries, and that the entries do not infringe any person’s intellectual property rights or other legal rights.
The GTS may undertake publicity activities relating to the awards. The winners agree to the use of their name and supplied information about their work and plans in any publicity material.
Applicants grant to the GTS an exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual and irrevocable licence to store their entries.
