Last year, we published details of our lengthy investigation into the faith healer Peter Popoff, including our undercover footage taken at his London show and a summary of the letters he sends out to those who sign up for his ‘miracle spring water’. Also, last month Icelandic broadcasting authority, which oversees one of the channels that broadcasts Popoff’s shows, upheld our complaint against Popoff.
Since we published our investigation, the letters have continued to come, along with an ever-bizarre array of miracle items and trinkets. In order to fully highlight the extent of Popoff’s organisation, we’ve decided to publish everything he sends to one of our pseudonyms in full, along with details of the size of donation Popoff requests, and the miracle item or ritual involved at each stage. As each new letter arrives, we will update the table and the total accordingly.
