The second round of Who Wants to Be a Mathematician is now complete, and we are delighted to be able to announce the four students, who will be taking part in the UK final next month:
- Connie Bambridge-Sutton from Reigate Grammar School, Surrey
- Dougie Dolleymore from King Edwards School, Birmingham
- Timothy Kang from St Paul’s School, London
- Yuji Okitani from Tapton School, Sheffield
These four excellent young mathematicians will be competing at the live final in London on November 24th, hosted by stand-up mathematician Matt Parker. The UK winner will then go on to compete in the Grand Final in San Diego, pitting their mathematical wits against the regional winners from across the US and Canada.
Good Thinking would like to thank once again the Maths Department at the University of Southampton for their competition sponsorship. You can find out more about this world class maths department by visiting their website.
